Reading Auras

UNDERSTANDING WHAT YOU SEE

It is this mental aura which betrays the true personality of a man or woman, for here is imprinted a record of the type of thought most frequently held in the mind. An intelligent observer can watch the red of lustful thoughts, the scarlet flash of anger, the yellow -green of jealousy flashing across the yellow field of the aura and betraying the ideas that lie behind the pleasant talk and polished manner of an acquaintance.

Another time one might sit in a church and watch the wonderful shades of mauve sweeping over the aura as a person is uplifted be something in the service which touches the heart; or one may see the blue of love as some lady sees the man of her hopes, or watch the irritable flashes of harsh yellow and red as another person criticizes the sermon, the choir or the neighbours.

It is interesting to note that types of thought which are held for any length of time tend to set up a permanent hint of colour in the aura, so that the pure yellow of intellect becomes dyed with reds, blues, greens and mauve’s of the pre- dominating thoughts, and we can tell, by this same vibration, that one person is of a generous disposition, another of an avaricious nature; one is spiritually inclined and another thinks of nothing but worldly success in connection with business.

How does Angel Therapy Work?

Angel Therapy

If you have considered using angel therapy as a means of healing you may want to know what is involved. Healing with angels is not just about contacting your angels and letting them do all the work, although there is no doubt that channelling and working through your guides is certainly one of the most highest forms of healing possible.

When using angel therapy you will also learn how to use crystals as this is an important part of angel healing, and learning as to which crystal relates to which angel.  Colour & music also play a part in this fascinating healing course and you will also learn some great meditation techniques.

Preparation for opening up to the Angels
Sit in a comfortable position and wear something lightweight and comfortable. Some people sit cross-legged or you may prefer to perform this exercise sitting on a chair. Hold your back straight so that you can ground your self, you will then feel more focused and receptive.  Focus your attention on your body and visualise yourself being rooted to the earth. Become aware of your breathing and practice the meditation technique as describe in the earlier lessons. Try and keep your mind clear and free yourself from any negative thoughts.

When you feel ready and peaceful, place your hands on your heart area and bring your consciousness into this area, as this is where the angels connect with you.  When you feel deeply relaxed count to ten and be aware that whilst you are doing so you should invite your angels to draw closer to you.

Imagine them beside you. You may be clairaudient and hear a voice or music, or you may be clairvoyant in which case you may see your angels or receive pictures and images in your mind. Ask for your guardian angels name, both mentally and verbally. If at first you do not receive and answer, do not worry too much, as it will happen with practice.

Colours and their meanings

THE COLOURS AND THEIR MEANINGS

Red
Red has more personal associations than any other colour. Recognised as a stimulant, red is inherently exciting and the amount of red is directly related to the level of energy perceived.
A red person is full of energy, strong and physically active and can tend to be thin or muscular as the result of an active metabolism. Red people are generally out-going, gregarious and love life.
How the colour red affects us mentally and physically:
•    Increases enthusiasm
•    Stimulates energy
•    Encourages action and confidence
•    Gives a sense of protection from fears and anxiety

On the negative side, red people may have a tendency to be headstrong, impatient, bad tempered and become easily heated.  Red people need to watch their blood pressure and also watch out for problems such as boils, rashes and other skin diseases.
Balancing colour:  Blue for softness and calmness.
Orange
Orange, a close relative of red, sparks more controversy than any other hue. There is usually a strong positive or negative association to orange and pure orange generally elicits a stronger “love it” or “hate it” response than other colours. Fun and flamboyant, orange radiates warmth and energy.  Orange people are just as vital as red people but are more practically oriented. They are lively and outgoing, cheerful and joyous. Orange people also tend to be practical and make good designers, engineers and architects.
How the colour orange affects us mentally and physically:
•    Stimulates activity
•    Stimulates appetite
•    Encourages socialisation

Orange people, however, can suffer from stress and a battered immune system and they need to watch their energy levels.
Balancing colour:  Indigo for inner calm and intuition.
Yellow
Yellow is the colour of the sun and shines with optimism, enlightenment and happiness. Shades of golden yellow carry the promise of a positive future and instills optimism and energy as well as sparking creative thoughts.  Yellow people are good communicators and capable of logical, clear thinking.
How the colour yellow effects us mentally and physically:
•    Mentally stimulating
•    Stimulates the nervous system
•    Activates memory
•    Encourages communication

Yellow people tend to place more importance on the mind than on the body, the negative aspect of this being that they may neglect to take proper exercise and often have a poor diet. This could result in digestive problems, in particular relating to the liver and spleen.
Balancing colour: Violet is a good balancing colour as this colour brings wisdom.
Green
Green is considered to be the colour of peace and harmony. The natural greens, from forest to lime, are seen as tranquil and refreshing, with a natural balance of cool and warm (blue and yellow) undertones.  Green people are neither extrovert or introvert and strive to find balance and harmony in their life.  They tend to be close to nature and love the countryside, animals and children. A green person would also identify strongly with the healing arts.
How green effects us physically and mentally:
•    Soothing
•    Relaxing mentally as well as physically
•    Helps alleviate depression, nervousness and anxiety
•    Offiers a sense of renewal, self-control and harmony

Green people tend not to like taking action and therefore may deliberate on anything they do, finding it hard to make decisions. They may also be possessive, either in relationships or with monetary wealth.

Balancing colour:  Rose Pink, the colour of universal love.

Blue
Blue is the overwhelming “favourite colour”. Blue is seen as trustworthy, dependable and committed.  The colour of sky and of the ocean, blue is perceived as a constant in our lives. It invokes rest and can cause the body to produce chemicals that are calming. Blue people tend to be gentle and peaceful by nature and are passive and introverted, liking to be surrounded by a loving, harmonious atmosphere.  This caring aspect is why blue is also the colour of the medical profession. Blue is the least “gender specific” colour, having equal appeal to both men and women.
Not all blues are warm and sedate, however. Electric or brilliant blues become dynamic and dramatic, engaging colours that express exhilaration. Some shades or the overuse of blue may come across as cold or uncaring.
How the colour blue effects us physically and mentally:
•    Calming and sedate
•    Cooling
•    Aids intuition

Tending to be introverted, blue people need to watch that they do not become too withdrawn and isolated. They can suffer from depression and may find it difficult to communicate their needs and feelings to others.  This may manifest in the form of throat related problems and may also suffer from low blood pressure.

Balancing colours:  Yellow and orange would be good choices as yellow aids communication while orange brings joy and warmth in relationships.

Deep Blue/Indigo
Indigo or deep blue people are similar in many ways to blue people being strong intellectually, but are also in touch with their intuition and higher self. They generally love music and the arts and with their knowledge comes power. They can also be very idealistic and many great reformers work on the Indigo ray.  Indigo and deep blue people are very loyal and truthful. However, they must make sure they do not abuse their power, working for the good of others and not themselves.
Balancing colour:  Orange brings practicality and earthing qualities.
Violet/Purple
Purple embodies the balance of red stimulation and blue calm.  This dichotomy can cause unrest or uneasiness unless the undertone is clearly defined, at which point the purple takes on the characteristics of its undertone. A sense of mystic and royal qualities, purple people are creative or eccentric types and are often musicians, artists or writers.
Violet is the most intuitive of colours and people choosing this colour are likely to be seeking spiritual development. Violet people are often called to serve and many psychics and healers operate under the violet ray. Because they are so sensitive, violet people can suffer from mental and nervouse disorders.
How the colour purple or violet effects us mentally and physically:
•    Uplifting
•    Calming to mind and nerves
•    Offers a sense of spirituality
•    Encourages creativity

Balancing colour: Yellow for wisdom and to boost personal power.

COLOUR THERAPY - Home Study Diploma Course

Colour therapy is a non-invasive therapy that makes use of the healing energy contained within visible rays of colour.  It is a complementary therapy, which works in a subtle way with many other types of treatment, although it can be used on its own whist still giving excellent results.

Colour can be used to balance energy, aid creativity and learning, release blocks and help alleviate physical, emotional and mental conditions. Colour therapists encourage people to understand why they need certain colours and show them how to put these colours to beneficial use in order to promote optimum health. Colour therapy is used throughout the world as a complementary treatment for a wide range of illnesses: asthma, arthritis, eating disorders, skin diseases, digestive ailments, blood and circulation problems, fevers, rheumatism, shock, relief of pain and as part of the treatment for serious illnesses such as paralysis, multiple sclerosis, M.E, cancers and Aids. It is also used to great effect in the treatment of nervous and mental disorders and depression.

Wherever it has been possible Luna Online Home Studies has incorporated pictures, diagrams and exercises to help you understand the subject and practice of Colour T,

Birthstones and Crystal Healing

BIRTHSTONES
The first step in crystal healing healing is to make use of your birthstones. Become aware of their powers. Hold them, wear them and keep them near you. You will get to recognise their energies and connect with their spiritual consciousness. If you are treating a patient, you can also recommend they obtain three stones related to their star sign. One stone should be a precious gem. This stone should be clear and bright, bringing with it high vibrations and qualities of inspiration, purity and clarity together with the highest love. The second stone should be a touchstone, one that brings harmony, peace and healing. The third stone is a talisman, a stone of protection.

Crystal Water
A small quartz crystal that has been cleansed can purify water of any etheric pollution when placed in the bottom of a non-metallic container filled with tap water. Allow it to remain undisturbed for twelve hours. You could also place the water in natural sunlight if using a glass container. The stone’s energies will neutralize any psychic impurities in the water. Solarising the water in this way will also amplify the effect of the crystal. When drunk, this crystal clear water will have a wonderful cleansing affect on the bloodstream. Take it with other types of essences, especially flower essences, or vitamins. The gem water will promote the action of these elixirs. If you purify your tap water in this way you will never have to buy bottled spring water again!
By drinking a few glassfuls of crystal water every day you will build up your auric defences. This will also build up your immune system that will help in your body’s defence against colds and flu. You can use crystal water for cooking, making hot beverages, washing your hands and face and watering plants.

Gem Water
Gem water is made in the same way as crystal water, but using a cleansed gem instead of a quartz crystal. Drinking gem water is an excellent way of becoming aware of the healing properties of different gems. Label the gem water so that you know which gem you are using at any one time. You will need to allow 2-3 weeks to allow the gem water to do its work before moving on to a different gem water. Keep notes on your feelings before taking the water and the differences you feel afterwards. You will need to make fresh gem water every 2-3 days. However, if you want to keep it for a longer period of time, it would be better to make a gem essence.

Gem Essence
A gem essence provides a balanced pattern of specific energy that operates in the same way as a subliminal tape. It plays the same pattern of vibrations over and over again. This sets up a sympathetic rhythm in the etheric, which picks up the positive blueprint that the physical body ultimately copies. While taking herbal remedies affects the etheric and the physical body, gem elixirs also affect the emotional, mental and spiritual subtle bodies.

How to make a gem essence:
•    Place a stone in a clear glass container that has been sterilized by pouring boiling water over it. Add spring or distilled water.
•    Ask the Devic kingdom for help in charging the water for healing.
•    Cover the container and place it in the sun for several hours. You may wish to leave it out for twenty-four hours under a full moon. This allows both the dynamic energies from the sun and the moon to activate the gem. Moon energies are very beneficial for emotional healing and would particularly suit gems related to the water element.
•    Once the gem water is ready, boil up a number of brown glass dropper bottles to sterilize them. Do not use plastic droppers, as they will melt when heated!
•    Fill the bottle halfway with your gem water. Fill the remainder with a good quality drinking alcohol such as vodka or gin. You could also use brandy. Your gem essence is now made up of 50% gem water and 50% drinking alcohol.
Label and date each bottle and use within a few months for the best effects.  Again, keep notes on your feelings before and your feelings after taking the essence.

How to do a full Reiki Treatment

Reiki Treatment

When you are giving Reiki to yourself, make sure that you are lying or sitting on a comfortable, padded surface, such as a large cushion or a firm bed.  Each of the positions should be held for approx 5 minutes.

When giving Reiki to others, be aware of your guidance and your client above all else, follow your guidance and trust that the Reiki energy will know where to go, and what to do. It cannot harm anyone.

It is important to learn not to be attached to the results. Don’t try to force the energy or concentrate on channelling Reiki. Instead turn the healing over to the universe. The more centred and comfortable you are, the more effectively you will channel Reiki energy. As therapists, we often put our clients comfort ahead of our own. If we do not take care of ourselves, we will not be optimal channels.

•    Make sure you are comfortable and not strained.

•    If you are standing, keep your knees slightly bent to facilitate better energy flow.

•    Be aware of your breathing – take relaxed, deep breaths whilst channelling Reiki.

As a Reiki practitioner, it is important for you to stay aware of your client’s comfort. We recommend that you use the following guidelines to support your client:

Using Reiki on others

Check your body hygiene. Do you need to use deodorant or to brush your teeth?

Wash your hands before and after giving a Reiki treatment.

Suggest your client take off their shoes, glasses, and jewellery and loosen clothes if needed.

Ensure that both of your client’s legs are uncrossed.

Make sure your client is warm and comfortable on the treatment table or chair. You should keep a blanket handy, and place pillows under the persons’ knees to help support their lower back.

Place your hands on your client slowly and gently, and remove them in the same way.

Keep your fingers together.

When your hands are over the client’s eyes, be careful not to press on their eyelids or against their nostrils.

When working on the clients head, be conscious not to breathe on the face. Turn your head away slightly to breathe.

When working on the client’s neck, take care not to let the weight of your hands rest on their throat.

Do not lean on your client.

Do not try to force the energy or allow your ego to get in the way of natural flow.

To give a Reiki treatment, offer your hand positions and timing suggestions as guidelines. Reiki energy will go where it is needed, so the exact positions are not critical. Pay attention to your perception of yourself and your client when doing a treatment, and follow your guidance and intuition.

using chakra stones is a great way to balance all the chakras whilst healing and can be a most powerful addition to any treatment or even better still why not use a chakra pendent which will guide you whilst moving over the chakras the ones that are out of balance will show by the pendent swinging faster.

Chakra pendent order yours here:

YLANG-YLANG (CANANGA ODORATA)

YLANG-YLANG (CANANGA ODORATA)

Ylang-Ylang (pronounced yeelang-yeelang) is another of my favourite essential oils. Its beautiful perfume originates from the tree, which grows in the Philippines, Madagascar, Sumatra and Java. Ylang-Ylang means ‘flower of flowers’. Another source says it means wild and scarce.

The trees grow in the rainforest, which is another important reason for keeping the rainforests alive and looking after this wonderful environment.

The flowers of the tree are yellow, pink and mauve – the yellow flowered trees produce the best quality essential oil. The best oils being derived from the flowers which are picked in the earlier part of the summer season and especially if the flowers are picked early in the day.

Ylang-Ylang is a sedative of the nervous system and is therefore of use to people who breathe over rapidly and have rapid heartbeat (tachycardia). These conditions may be found if a person is shocked, angry, frightened or anxious.  Longer term the symptoms should, of course, be tended to by a doctor but the use of Ylang-Ylang in the short term may be beneficial. Ylang-Ylang is also considered to be helpful in reducing blood pressure but once again medical help should be sought in this instance.

Ylang-ylang is reputed to be an aphrodisiac and can be useful for those who have sexual dysfunction as the Ylang-Ylang lowers anxiety and stress thus breaking the cycle of concern about sexual performance, which leads to more anxiety. Some people find the smell of Ylang-Ylang too sweet so it may best be employed when used in conjunction with another essential oil. Use Ylang-Ylang sparingly, one drop and not everyday as prolonged use can lead to nausea and  a headache.

Ylang-Ylang is used extensively in fragranced products as it is cheaper and cost and has a strong fragrance, which ‘goes far’.
