Spiritual Reading

Why we read Spiritual Books

Spiritual books are known to be our best friends for their unconditional love towards us. Reading, generally, has always been one of our favourite hobbies. As far as spiritual inspiration and knowledge is concerned, there is no substitute of acquiring it other than from spiritual books. These books are fuel for our thoughts and beliefs, they provide us the inspiration and courage to stand up for what we feel is right for our growth.

Spiritual books have begun to multiply in number in recent times. And it is true that once we go through the work of writers who have had spiritual inspiration, our lives get changed.

Tired of leading stressful and unhappy lives, people with a desire to lead peaceful lives are resorting to spirituality. Thus spirituality is on the rise. Walking on the path of spirituality not only helps us to realise our real Self, but it also inspires us and drives us to lead a joyous life. If we intend to relax and attain peace of mind we should read spiritual books.

A good way of selecting these inspiring books is to search online for them. We need to select a few good spiritual books available in the market and start reading it religiously. We should make a regular habit of reading them, set up a time of the day for the same, and put our whole mind on it. While reading spiritual books we should not be watching TV or eating or doing anything else.

We slowly begin to see the world around us in a different perspective. We begin to comprehend why a person is behaving the way he/she is. We learn to take things in stride and move on without getting much baffled from his/her behaviour.

Spiritual books help us clarify a lot of our doubts which otherwise seem difficult to resolve. We must believe that our time invested in spiritual reading will definitely change our lives. We become very positive. Our attitude and point of view for life also changes. Realizing our dreams and aspirations will become easy and we shall experience joys like never before.

This blissful experience is an important facet of spiritual inspiration coming through books. Nonetheless, mere reading won’t help us unless we learn to apply these principles in our day to day affairs. Spirituality is not about reading alone, it is about being and becoming. We need to understand the writer’s point of view and begin to follow it in our lives with determination. This is important because without doing this spiritual books will produce no good results.

For people like us who are moved by spiritual inspiration, it is necessary that we seek wholeheartedly until we reach our destination. And once we begin to find spiritual realisation, we must keep seeking until we are convinced, at the deepest level of our inner being, of the eternal reality that God, is our own real Self.

For some of us, this realisation might happen in an instant explosive revelation; for others, it will occur quietly and gradually. Whenever it happens, we will all know.

PALMISTRY

Palmistry – Hand And Finger Combinations

By: Per Hogseth

HAND AND FINGER COMBINATIONS

Before reading the palm, look at the fingers to see if they’re short or long. This isn’t always easy to gauge when you’re just beginning, but a little practice will enable you to assess the finger length at a glance.

The fingers are considered long if they can fold back and touch a spot at least seven-eights of the way along the palm. Unfortunately, there are exceptions, as some people have extremely flexible hands while others are very stiff. Also, someone with an extremely oblong palm may have long fingers that only reach halfway down the palm, as the palm itself is very long. With experience you’ll be able to look at someone’s palm and instantly know if the fingers are long or short.

The problem comes when you’re first learning and find a hand with fingers that seem to be neither long nor short. Fortunately, we can cover that situation as well.

Long Fingers

If the fingers are long, the person pays attention to detail and you can say:
“You enjoy complex work. You’re patient and enjoy all the fiddly bits – you like the details in things. Your work must be very consuming and gratifying. If it’s too simple you lose interest very quickly.”

Short Fingers

Someone with short fingers is almost the opposite. They’ll be more interested in the broad strokes rather than the details and won’t have much patience.

You could say:

“You’re always busy. Sometimes you may start something new before you’ve finished the last task. You often have several things on the go at the same time. You tend to want everything right now, so patience is not your strong suit. Your impulsiveness has gotten you into trouble in the past. In some ways you are a jack-of-all-trades.”

Medium Length Fingers(learn palmistry from home)

Naturally, someone with fingers that are neither long nor short will fall into a middle category.

You might say:

“At times you can be very patient. However, at other times you’re inclined to jump first and think later. If something really interests you, you want to get right down to the bottom of it and work it all out. If it’s only a passing interest, you’re more inclined to skim over it and not learn it in much detail.”

We now have four possibilities to look at:

1. Square hands with short fingers
2. Square hands with long fingers
3. Oblong hands with short fingers
4. Oblong hands with long fingers

This is the classification used in Chinese palmistry. It comes from Fred Getting’s monumental book, The Book of the Hand. The four types are named after the four elements of the ancients:

Fire, Earth, Air and Water. These relate very well to the descriptions of the Fire, Earth, Air and Water signs of astrology, but it does not necessarily mean that a Sagittarian (a Fire sign), would have a Fire hand. You’ll find people with all four types of hands in every sign of the Zodiac.

The four elements: Fire, Earth, Air and Water

Fire Hands

Fire is hot, energizing and constantly moving. It can provide gentle heat, but can also burn. Consequently it needs careful handling. A Fire hand is oblong with short fingers. Someone with a hand like this is likely to be emotional, enthusiastic and creative. The short fingers mean a dislike for detail. The long palm adds intuition.

For someone with a hand like this you might say:

“You have a great mind, full of wonderful ideas. These ideas excite you. Your enthusiasm may not last for long, but it’s extremely important to you at the time. Your emotions can be a bit hard to handle at times, but they enable you to experience life to the fullest. Details are not your strong point and you tend to prefer the overall picture to the fiddly bits. You are likely to be creative and need to be busy to be happy.”

Earth Hands

Earth is the dry, solid part of our planet. Everything that happens on earth is subject to the natural rhythms of germination, growth, death and decay. Earth is timeless and expresses stability.

However, below its surface all sorts of changes are constantly occurring. This can lead to earthquakes and other upheavals. The Earth hand is very like the practical hand. It consists of a square palm and short fingers.

People with this type of hand are reliable, down-to-earth and practical. They enjoy repetitive work and are good with their hands. They enjoy rhythm. They are conservative, reserved and possessive.
However, like earth itself, they can also react violently if they deem it necessary.

You might say to someone with Earth hands:

“You’re a hard worker. You enjoy physical challenges and your hands can think for themselves. You can be stubborn at times, and you don’t easily change your mind. You enjoy rhythm and movement. You’re not usually good with details, unless you’re making something. You probably prefer working outdoors, doing something practical. You’re reliable, honest and somewhat reserved.”

Air Hands

Air is essential for life. We take it for granted and seldom notice it, except on windy days. Air is also essential for communications, as it carries sound waves. Creatures of the air, such as birds and flying insects, are fast moving and active.

The Air hand consists of a square palm and long fingers. These people tend to use logic more than intuition. They’re quick-witted and express themselves clearly. They enjoy communicating and often have careers that utilize their skills.

Their strong emphasis on logic means these people tend to distrust emotions, both their own and other people’s.

We could say something along these lines to someone with Air hands:

“You’re intelligent, clear-thinking and discriminating. Relationships are important to you, but you sometimes find logic getting in the way of your feelings. You’re reliable and like to do things completely. You’re a stimulating companion and life is never dull when you’re around.”

Water Hands

Finally, water. If you think about it, water is essentially still. Other forces have to act upon it to make it change. It’s also shapeless as it simply moves to fill up whatever space is available.

The Moon has a strong influence on water, creating the tides in our oceans. The saying, “still waters run deep”, is very pertinent to the Water hand. The Water hand consists of an oblong palm with long fingers. It’s sometimes called the intuitive hand, as these people are extremely aware and receptive.

People with this type of hand are changeable, impressionable and emotional. They’re idealistic and highly imaginative.

To someone with water hands, you could say:

“You have an extremely rich inner life. Your imagination is keen and you fantasize about just about everything. You can be influenced by others, so you’re flexible with your ideas. Your intuition is strong. You’re emotional. If you’re interested in someone, you love spending time with them. You also need time by yourself to reflect on your own life. You are happiest inside the right relationship with someone to depend and rely upon.”

Walking the Path to Peace

The Path To Peace

By: Peter E. Blank

The path of greatest good can get very foggy at times. It truly can be difficult at first to see the way you should go in all situations. However, in some cases you have no question at all. Sometimes you know the right way to go and you go it. Here is an interesting aspect of your living presence. In the cases where you are sure of something, there is a feeling within, a feeling of rightness. I call that feeling the Frequency of Truth. I have also heard it called the Wise One, the Great Teacher, the Voice of God and the Holy Spirit. No matter its name, there is a very real and very powerful awareness of right and wrong within us all. People on the path, and people who are considerate of others, tend to tune to it more regularly than those who are not. The awareness of right and wrong can be easily interpreted as a guide for making decisions. In a phrase, “Let your conscience be your guide.”

Having a guide, however, is only useful if your motive is clear. I see focused purpose as the single most potent sub-factor in manifesting events in space and time. It is true on all levels of Life that the greater Will rules the moment. Purpose becomes the focal point of Will. All the choices you make will be towards your purpose. Given Free Will freely, and having it without limit, it truly is yours to command. You do that by the purposes you hold dear and the ways you go about having them fulfilled.

Psychic Develoment

Therefore, in the consideration of what choices are correct, you must address your purpose directly and consciously. Purpose, when applied to choices in time, exists upon bands of potential that extend from self to the Whole. In that sense, purpose is a structure. As an individual begins to explore the depth of their purpose, many transformations of consciousness take place. At first, people tend to think they have many purposes. From a self-centric perspective, it seems quite true. But as awareness grows, and some or all of the Wholeness of Life is embraced, purpose collects and transforms into greater scales, which can be shared. That is one thing that makes the study of Love a science. No static definition of right and wrong will hold. The concept expands with increased awareness. However, a good rule of thumb is that a good choice is one that benefits the biggest picture. You can tell by how you feel if you are making right choices. Rightness comes with a feeling of rightness.

There is no major difference between a mistake made in ignorance and one made consciously. They both are still mistakes and will yield an unpleasant life experience. People rarely change their choices for altruistic reasons. Mostly they just want to find a way to feel whole inside. But conscious living reveals that the good of self and the good of others are directly related.

Most people instinctively know what is right for them and what is wrong. Even though the mortal’s connection to the eternal Living Moment is subconscious it is very real. During the process of expanding awareness, the Wholeness of life is revealed. In this, the many purposes of the individual grow to include the well being of others, and the world we all share. So-called “bad people” are only people who feel miserable and don’t know why. They make choices that hurt them and then live in the pain. These people have misery and they give what they have. They do not need scorn, but a greater awareness of how Love works, and how all life connects together to be One.

Growth by conscious living is difficult until it is shared. Then it is a self-feeding source of wonder and good times. The life that each person has is a reflection of his or her beliefs and choices. That may be a new way to look at the environment you live in. From a time-based perspective, an environment is a container. The universe contains all that is within it. The earth contains all the life upon it. A house contains everything inside it. However, if you consider the simultaneous existence of these environments, it is revealed that all of them are but different aspects of one. Enlightened individuals see all environments and know no limitations. The environments we create do not have to contain us. That is living reactively. The environments we create can express us. That is living proactively.

Important cards in Tarot

7 Important Tarot Cards In The Major Arcana

By: Cucan Pemo

The world of Tarot is a wondrous and fascinating place filled with mystical power and interesting legend. How the various tarot decks evolved from their original form to that of the common deck of playing cards is one of history’s best stories, but let’s take a look at some of the most well known cards that make up the old-fashioned tarot deck.

Remember, however, that many different tarot decks contain different cards from one another. Especially in the case of the minor arcana, the “suits” can change from deck to deck. There isn’t any consensus “right” deck, they all have their own powers to help a trained reader divine the future.

·The Fool – One of the best known cards in the tarot deck, the fool can symbolize many different things based on the question asked before the reading. In most cases, the fool brings about such descriptions as “immaturity, adventure, boldness, freedom” and “inexperience.” In history, the Fool has the special distinction of usually having the number zero. While that designation isn’t a uniform assignment across all decks, the Fool is usually seen as either the final trump card, the first trump card or even a completely separate card apart from the other trumps. Modern interpretations of the fool vary from the context in which the card fits into the question asked and the reader, but in most cases, the fool is interpreted as standing for folly and inexperience. It doesn’t necessarily have to have a negative connotation, but it is interpreted that way in most cases.

·Death – One of the most dreaded cards in the tarot deck, but also one of the most misunderstood. The card is only interpreted by the most literal readers as meaning physical death. In almost all cases, the card stands for a change; usually a deep and through change in one’s life. For some, the death card can be a positive if the change interpreted is the death of something negative. The number assigned to the card is 13, of course, an unlucky number in most Western cultures. In modern decks of playing cards, the ace of spades is considered to be the descendant of the death card, and is still referred to as such by many card players.

·The Devil – Card fifteen is also one of the most well known tarot cards. The devil, in most cases, stands for animal lust and vice. It can also be interpreted as a lack of morality and hedonism over other more moderate choices in life. Most readers believe that the Devil card represents a lack of growth or the inability to stop behavior that harms oneself. The card, in most cases, is considered negative, but there is also a large amount of flexibility in the Devil card. The subject receiving the reading may be caught in a particular behavior, but that behavior can change and the impact of the devil can be removed.

·The Moon – Card eighteen of the tarot deck is the Moon. The card is usually associated with the ideas of tension, deception, confusion and anxiety. The Moon is also thought to be associated with doubt, worry, unrealistic ideas and illusion. Most readers interpret the Moon as a lack of vision or purpose in a person’s life. A need to find the right path back to goals and meaning is needed before all is lost. It can also mean that an adventure awaits and to be brave when facing unknown circumstances. In most cases, the Moon has a negative connotation, but not in all.

·The Lovers – Card six in the tarot deck is The Lovers. The card is usually interpreted to mean union, passion and sexuality, as well as bonding, romance and heart. The card is seen almost universally as a positive, a sign that the subject has a positive, warm and healthy relationship in their life. There is a modicum of sacrifice with the Lovers card, the idea that the bachelor life will need to be jettisoned in favor of a caring and fulfilling relationship. The card is considered a positive building block when it comes up during a reading, a sign of good things to come.

·Wheel of Fortune – Card ten is the Wheel of Fortune. It is thought to stand for opportunities, possibilities and destiny, as well as fate, activity and life cycles. There is a strong karmic connection with the Wheel of Fortune card. The idea of “what comes around, goes around” is widely believed to exist within the Wheel of Fortune. The card also represents random chance, with the Wheel most likely standing for all the choices one makes and their positive and negative outcomes.

·Judgment – Card twenty in the tarot deck is Judgment. This is an almost universally positive card that most readers interpret to stand for hope, renewal, redemption and absolution. Even though with Judgment, there is a positive and negative side, this card is almost always thought to be a positive.

The tarot deck is filled with dozens of interesting stories and interpretations. The cards listed here can mean many different things based on the question asked, the interpretation and if the card is reversed or not. The energy and magic of tarot is eternal and it awaits your questions today.

Massage Courses

What Should You Look For In A Massage Therapy School?

By: Peter Faber

If you are considering engaging in a great career in massage therapy, let me compliment you on your selection. Massage is one of the few careers which aids individuals in need, allows flexible hrs, and for those who ambitiously pursue it, opens up the door to a lucrative income. Once you have decided on your career, your next big decision should be which school to attend. I have furnished a list of 5 valuable questions to ask yourself when analyzing the huge amount of therapeutic massage schools to choose from.

Question 1: What is the timeframe that it will it choose from beginning to end? Massage schools have a broad variety when it comes how much time must be invested to finish. Massage therapy schools can vary anywhere from 6 – 15 months, or longer. Keeping this in mind, you have to ask yourself two important questions in regards to the amount of time you place in your education. Remember, if you hurry through a program, you have a better chance of missing out on something. On the other side of the coin, you have to also weigh how much money you may lose if you have to spend 6 months to a year longer in school when you could be getting your income rolling.

Question 2: Will it be very expensive? Education tuition might vary anywhere from $6.00 to $17.00 per hour of education! The average usually falls around $9.00 or $10.00 per credit hour. If you are in an unlicensed state and want to join a quick program, you may actually be able to get the necessary 100-hour training for under $1,000. In licensed states, which require 500 hours, tuition usually ranges from $5,000.00 to $9,000.00.. Some schools include the cost of supplies, or even a massage table. Be sure to factor in what is included verses what you are called upon to acquire before you commit. For example, if one school costs $1400 and includes your table, it will end up being cheaper than the school which costs $1000, but requires you to purchase a table. Tables run an average of around $500.

Question 3: Will therapeutic massage school hours work with the rest of my loyalties? Virtually all schools are aware that the individuals who are attending their curriculum have other things to do as well. Most students have to hold down jobs while attending massage school, while others have children at home. Many schools offer programs designed to cater to the working adult. Check to make sure that the school you like offers a variety of schedules to meet your needs.

Question 4: How do I pay for it? When you compare the cost of becoming a licensed massage therapist verses the cost of a bachelors degree, you would save approximately $60,000. Even so, most of us do not have $5,000 – $9,000 lying available to place in an education. Hence, financial aid is important to consider. Keep the following in mind: All federal loans and grants for education can be paid only to students attending federally accredited schools. Look for a reputable accreditation, such as the Integrative Massage & Somatic Therapies Accreditation Council, which has been recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a specialized accrediting agency.

Question 5: How long will it take to get to the massage therapy school? If you have narrowed it down to a couple of schools, choose the closer one! With the cost of gas rising, congestion getting worse all the time, road rage, and wear-and-tear on your vehicle, location should be a priority. Picture yourself making the same drive 5 days a week before you choose that nice little school across town.

Again let me congratulate you on your career choice. Massage Therapy School can be one of the greatest decisions you may decide upon. I hope that these words of advice will turn out timely for you as you start out your journey into a wonderful profession.

Kings of Tarot

Kings of Tarot

When you first learn tarot you may have heard of a significator. This is when you choose a card for whomever you are reading for. Quite often you would use one from the kings or queens depending on the age of the person being read for. For someone younger up to the age of 25 then you could use one of the pages or knights.

The kings tend to represent closure or the completion of an experience or situation. The also represents wisdom and may show up as a father, uncle, older brother, boss or an old friend in whom you may confide.

King Of Wands

This person would be a self starter whom has unlimited enthusiasm and energy. The king of wands quite often represents someone who works independently such as a sales person, self-employed or advertising agent. He will be a great motivator but can sometimes have a short temper.  The astrological sign of this card is linked to the signs of ~Aries, Leo and Sagittarius.  If you where to see this card come up in a reading it would likely mean that there is an older man in your life that inspires you.  With regard to work it would mean that your business prospects are likely to improve and that success is within your grasp.  With regards to romance it could show that you are more interested in work and business than in romance and could cut yourself off emotionally from those around you.

King of Cups

The king of cups is a gentle loving and compassionate man. He will have a nurturing aspect to his personality and this could be shown in his choice of career. Counselor, psychologist, restaurant owner and teacher are common amongst the king of cups. His home and family will be very important to him and he may even work from home as he will seek financial independence but from something he enjoys not just for the sake of profit. The astrological sign of this card is linked to Pisces, Cancer and Scorpio.

In a reading this could show a romance with someone whom will send you flowers and loves to  show romantic gestures. He will be a good listener and can be quite emotional. With regard to a reading concerned with work it maybe that you are planning on working from home and are already taking steps in this direction.  With regard to a reading for romance it would show that you are ready for a relationship and could be now in the mood to find and attract lover. If you are already involved in a relationship it could show that you have a deep understanding with your significant other and could be thinking of renewing old vows.  Should the four of wands appear with this card there is a good chance a marriage proposal is on its way.

King of Pentacles or Coins

This King represents a man whom is successful and has accomplished a great deal in his life especially with regards to material aspects. He is likely to work as a professional businessman, CEO, banker and often self employed. His astrological link is to the signs of Capricorn, Virgo and Taurus.

With regard to a reading this can show that projects you have been working on may now be nearing completion and you may be in contact with other professional people.

If reading about romance then whether you are single or committed, it depicts a courtship which will have you seen in the nicest of places , good food and wine and you are likely to be treated like royalty. You may also expect travel with your partner whether for business or pleasure or indeed both.  In a reading regarding finances this card suggest you guard against becoming too materialistic and enjoy some fun as-well as work.

King of Swords

The king of Swords represents someone in authority. Likely jobs for this person would be policeman, lawyer, judge, a doctor or a writer. This person likes the last word and thinks in a logical manner rather than emotional. He could represent someone who is the head of a company or departments. He will be someone who weighs up the pros and cons of a situation before acting. The astrological sign of this King is linked to Gemini, Libra, Aquarius.

In a reading it could represent a time in your life when you need to move away from old ideas or beliefs and move on. You may have dealings with solicitors or lawyers or just the legal system in general. You must try and use your own intuition at this time. With regard to work it could be you have a boss whom you admire but may seem quite aloof, if however the tower is combined with this card there could be a redundancy or even a firing in the near future.

With regard to romance you may find you are in need of some breathing space, if you are involved with someone then you may find you have been acting with some indifference toward each other and it may be time to take a vacation together if the chariot is in the same spread or if the lovers appear it could be time to make a decision as to whether to go it alone.

Esp for Success

Executive ESP: A Pathway To Success!

By: Jeremiah Huck

We all have psychic abilities that we use daily, although most of us don’t even realize that. The full study of this issue would take many books, and years of experience to grasp all the factors. Since we can’t do that here, we can still focus on applying these skills to making informed business decisions. Those of us making constant business choices, effecting staff, ethics, health, and the botton line, need all the data we can get our hands on. So these tidbits are designed to help you use your natural abitities, and to improve your business situation!

First of all, there are many, many management styles. It is in your best interest to honestly evaluate your personality and your personal approach to making choices and running your business. This gives you a baseline to start from when adding ESP into your operating formula. The ancient Greeks said “Know Thyself”.

Some of us are very mental in perspective, some emotional, and others more physical. These basic personality factors often don’t change much during our lifetime. We tend to keep processing life from the same angle. When we pick up psychic data from outside this base personality, we tend to ignore it. It’s not comming from our comfort zone.

In the business world, what we ignore can create lost potentials or major problems. What we tune out doesn’t really go away, it just stays out of our awareness. So our business is effected but we never get to know it, it stays in our blind spots.

When working in a group situation this blindness is compensated by others around us, often with different main personality types. They can pick up what we miss. This works fairly well, but……

Frankly, at the executive level you often must make choices by yourself. This leaves you open to your limitations. Sure you can get data, but still the final choice is usually yours. Remember that both your strong and weak functions tend to stay that way for life. So you will tend to always focus on some things while ignoring others.

Opening your natural ESP abilities can present a personal challange. As you pick up data from your comfort zone, well…no problem. But when you get psychic information from your weaker traits, again you will want to tune it out……you will tend to feel it as a stress.

So, if you want to include data from a broad range of psychic information … even beyond your comfort zone, there are many techniques you can use……

Realize that stress can be a sign that you are aware of something that you would rather ignore. Then use stress busters to help you handle that. Try to meditate each day, in a quiet place … and see what happens. If stress kicks up try to breathe through it, so you can stay focused on what you are processing.

It takes great courage to trust your whole self, and all your awareness. Don’t push yourself beyond your limits, but try to broaden your scope, little by little.

The real test is to see if you are willing to apply your ESP gained data into your daily business planning.

Good Luck!

Adrenal Support from Nature – Aromatherapy Essential Oil Blends for Fighting Fatigue

Feeling fatigued a little too often? Morning cappuccino no longer doing its job? Getting that feeling that you’ve been worn thin by your busy schedule, and you’re just not bouncing back? These can be signs of over-worked adrenal glands – and can be symptoms of a syndrome known as “Adrenal Fatigue”. Thankfully, a few commonly-available essential oils can offer support in regenerating worn-out adrenal glands.

What is Adrenal Fatigue?

The adrenal glands are your body’s workhorses when it comes to dealing with stress. These tiny glands, each about the size of a walnut and shaped like a tiny pyramid, sit atop each kidney. The adrenals produce important hormones such as cortisol, an energy releaser, and pregnenolone, the precursor from which almost all your body’s steroid hormones are made, including DHEA, progesterone, testosterone, and estrogens. Pregnenolone is an extremely important memory enhancer, and not only does it make you smarter, it also brings about feelings of well-being and enhances your ability to deal with stress. Weak adrenal function can have a variety of symptoms, including depression, insomnia, and lowered immune system function.

There can be many contributing factors to adrenal fatigue, though these can almost all be lumped into the category of ‘too much stress’! Overwork, sleep deprivation, poor eating habits – particularly too much sugar, injury and illness, and over-use of stimulants are a few common causes. Addressing these issues are of primary importance for long-term regeneration of the adrenals and their hormonal output. However, natural adrenal supporting essential oils used in aromatherapy can be very useful in bringing balance and assisting in restoring adrenal function to normal, healthy levels, in mild-to-moderate cases of adrenal fatigue.

Adrenal Supporting Essential Oils

Several easy-to-find essential oils are commonly used in aromatherapy to support the adrenals glands. Some are used purely for adrenal gland restoration, while others are used to provide a healthy lift when needed, and may be of assistance when reducing caffeine intake. These oils are not to be taken internally, but are best diluted in a carrier oil and applied to the skin.

Spruce and Black Spruce Needle Oils – Spruce is thought to restore depleted adrenal glands, and is used regularly by aromatherapists in blends applied directly over the adrenal area, or in an all-over body lotion.

Pine Needle Oil – Pine essential oil is noted to be one of the “most effective oils for fatigue and nervous debility”. Pine can be blended with Spruce for a synergistic revitalizing effect.

Atlas Cedar Oil – Moroccan Cedar is thought to gently and persistently stimulate the metabolism. Rather than regenerating, as do the Spruce and Pine oils, Cedar will provide a smooth, deep, and long lasting stimulation without the side effects of coffee and black tea.

Peppermint Oil – Peppermint has a broad range of healthful properties, and is thought of as an uplifting aroma. Peppermint, like Cedar, can be used for gentle stimulation and alertness.

Citrus Oils – Essential oils pressed from the rinds of citrus fruit like sweet orange, bitter orange (bergamot), lemon and lime are also uplifting and brightening, yet have a relaxing quality as well. They are useful additions to fatigue-busting blends, as the added calming, but not sedating, quality can lower stress levels, which are generally the cause of adrenal fatigue in the first place.

Aromatherapy Blends for Adrenal Fatigue

First, a blend to provide pure regenerative support without stimulation. This blend is suitable for regular use, and some users report almost immediate results – it has been noted to reduce or eliminate that nauseous feeling that can accompany insomnia. FOR A ONE OUNCE BLEND – add 1.5ml Spruce or Black Spruce and 1.5ml Pine Needle essential oils to one ounce (30ml) of your favorite carrier oil (Hazelnut is commonly used, but any common aromatherapy carrier oil should do the trick). Apply regularly to the kidney / adrenal area. Note: 1ml is about 25 drops.

To use these oils in a gently stimulating, all-over body blend, add 3ml each of Spruce and Pine essential oils, 2ml Atlas Cedar oil and 2ml of your favorite citrus oil to 4oz of carrier oil. Apply this all over after a morning shower – though if using the citrus oil, do not apply to areas that will be exposed to the sun in the following 72 hours, as citrus oils are photosensitizing.

If you prefer the properties and aroma of peppermint, try the following blend: 6ml of Spruce or Black Spruce, 2.5ml Atlas Cedar and 1.5ml Peppermint in 4 ounces of your favorite carrier. This blend will not be photosensitizing to the skin, and can be used all over the body.

Conclusion

These wonderful smelling aromatherapy blends can offer support in cases of mild and moderate adrenal fatigue for many people, though the underlying causes of this condition should be addressed concurrently for best results. For most folks, this means reducing caffeine intake, improving diet by reducing sugar consumption, and finding balance in one’s life between work, family, and personal time.

The Lovers

THE LOVERS

There has been much written about the lovers in tarot so for this article I am going to write in more detail how this card relates depending on the subject. After all if this card comes up when your client has asked about a job, its is unlikely that you are going to tell them about their love life.

Choices

This card is basically about duality and decisions and of course an also indicate a love affair. It points to some sudden and unexpected changes, so with regard to a job it could  indicate sudden or unexpected happenings in the work place. In regard to a relationship this can indicate changes in your love life, usually for the better or certainly more interesting.

Subjects

The card means something slightly different depending on what the question is relating to however its core meaning is still decisions and changes.  The following is a guideline in what the card may mean if your client asks about the following:

In a General Reading: A new relationship may just be around the corner but if you are currently in a relationship then expect big changes. You maybe torn at this time between your heart and your head.

Work/Career: You may face a decision at work however once made there is likely to be an improvement in your circumstances. You could also find yourself attracted to someone at work in which case go with what feels right.

Romance: You could  be going through a very tense or up and down period in your love life. You or your lover may find themselves attracted to another but are unsure what to say or do. I will make a note that from experience if the high priestess appears near this card then if quite often points to an extramarital affair or if not an affair certainly secrets are being kept.

Finances/Money: A good time to go into business with a partner and cooperation will bring in money and success.

History of Reiki

The History Of Reiki

Reiki, originating from the words, raku-kei, is the art and science of spiritual self-improvement.

Reiki originated in ancient Tibet thousands of years ago. The Reiki calligraphy, in Sanskrit, was used in meditation in Tibetan monasteries. Reiki symbols were painted upon large wall hangings in the monasteries and acted as the centre focus in the practices toward enlightenment by Tibetan holy men.

A Tibetan Lama would sit on a four-legged wooden stool in the centre of an oval earthenware container (to represent the etheric egg) filled with three inches of water.

The stool was made of wood with pure silver inlay going up a channel in each of the stools legs, connecting a silver plate inlay upon the stools’ seat. On the silver plate, inlaid in amethyst and rubies, was the Master Frequency Symbol. In front of the stool was a mirror of polished copper. Behind the stool hung a tapestry containing the Lamas’ prayer and the Reiki symbols.

The symbols were reflected in the copper wall, and meditated upon by the Lama as he sat on the stool. The Tibetan Lama concentrated on the Reiki symbols to implant them deep into his subconscious, thereby purifying the body/mind, raising consciousness, and increasing awareness.

Dr. Mikao Usui – 1865 –1926

Dr. Mikao Usui

What is now called Reiki was re-discovered in the 1870’s by Dr. Mikao Usui.

As the story goes, his students asked Dr. Usui, the president of a small Christian university in Japan, “How did Christ heal?” This question led Dr. Usui to resign from his University position and begin a ten-year search for the answer.

His quest led him to many parts of the world to study in many different languages, and finally to the original Sanskrit Buddhist Sutras, where he found ancient symbols that he believed to be the formula for healing.

At this point, Dr Usui felt he had the keys to healing, but did not know how to awaken his healing power. He decided to go to a mountain and meditate for 21 days, to seek the power to heal. On the final day, Dr Usui saw a beam of light rushing toward him, the light struck him in the middle of his forehead and at that moment he saw the Reiki symbols and felt them enter his mind and memory.

Dr Usui spent the rest of his life sharing Reiki. Before his death, Dr. Usui passed the keys of Reiki over to his close associate, Dr Chijiro Hayashi, who ran a Reiki clinic in the early 1900’s in Japan.
Hawayo Takata- 1900 –1980

Mrs. Hayayo Takata who was born on the island of Hawaii in 1900 and lived in the Hawaiian Islands until 1970 brought Reiki to Hawaii in 1934.

In March 1917 she married Saichi Takata, the book- keeper of the plantation where she was employed. They had two daughters together before he died aged 34 in Tokyo where he had gone for lung cancer treatment.

After this Takata worked hard to support her family on her own and this contributed to her suffering from lung problems, a variety of serious gastrointestinal ailments and severe depression actually leading to a nervous breakdown. In her mid-thirties, with Mrs Takata widowed and very ill, she travelled to Japan to seek treatment.  She was diagnosed with several life threatening conditions including gallstones, and a tumour. She was given some weeks to recuperate from emphysema before being admitted for surgery for appendicitis and other gastrointestinal problems. On the operating table, just before the surgery was to begin she heard a voice. The voice said, “The operation is not necessary. The operation is not necessary”. She had never heard a voice speak to her like this before. She wondered what it meant. The voice repeated the message a 3rd time even louder.

She knew she was wide-awake and had not imagined the voice. It was so unusual, yet so compelling that she decided to ask the doctor. She got off the operating table, wrapped a sheet around herself and asked to speak to the doctor. She asked the chief surgeon about non-surgical alternatives and was given the address of the clinic near the emperor’s palace run by Dr. Chujiro.

While she was there, she was guided to Dr. Hayashi’s clinic and was healed with Reiki.  She received daily treatments and got progressively better. In four months, she was completely healed. Impressed with the results she wanted to learn Reiki. She studied Reiki for a year in Japan and later was made a Reiki Master (one who can fine tune or empower others with Reiki energy). Mrs Takata spent the rest of her life sharing Reiki with others and in 1970 she moved to California and began to train other masters, until her death in 1980.
