Are we all healers?

Are we all healers?

caringpeopleWe all have the ability to heal and everybody without exception has this ability. You do not have to be classed as a professional  to enable you to heal. Healing energy can transmit through you naturally, find out how.

How to take healing a step further

If you feel drawn to becoming a healer you may want to take it a step further, and as we all have the healing gift, its really just a question of how much time and energy you feel you want to devote to developing your natural gift.  As there are many training courses available it will be up to you to get a feeling of what particular kind of healing you feel drawn to.

How do you know that someone wants healing?

It is not enough for you to think that someone needs healing, the person in need of healing must also be aware and want healing also. It is known that in Reiki healing for instance that the patient whom asks for healing may find it more effective than if they did not request it but was simply just offered healing.  Sometimes a natural healer will be aware of someone in need by getting a tingling feeling in their hands when they are near them or they may feel their palms getting warmer.

Some Simple Healing Tips

Stand straight with both feet on the ground.
Relax and take some slow deep breaths. When you feel relaxed put your hands on the patients shoulders. You may feel moved to say a short prayer or ask for guidance. Now imagine a point of light above your head reaching down through your body to the ground, down through to the center of the earth. You can also now visualize that the point of light above your head meets a similar point of light above your patients head. Imagine combined energy reaching up, connecting to the source of unlimited energy, to God or the Source whichever you feel happiest with. This is known as the point of attunement.

Now feeling the healing energy coming down through the light above your head and through to your hands and extending out of your hands to the patient. At this point you are what is known as acting as a Chanel for the energy to flow through you and it may be enough to simply stand their letting this energy flow through your clients shoulders. You may feel however, as if you want to put your hands in a particular place or simply move your hands down the patients back. Whatever you do, use your intuition. If you feel your patient does not like to be touched then move your hands a few inches away from the area that you feel needs healing as the energy will still get through to them.

How you may feel whilst offering healing

During a healing session you will be aware of something happening, even if you are not sure what it is. It might be a slight tingly feeling in your fingertips, your hands might feel warm or you may just feel that something is happening.

Completing your healing session

There is often a feeling of ‘turning off’ once the healing is finished. For instance if your hands felt tingles or felt warm then they will return to normal and you may feel a sense of completion. When this happens this would be a good time to return your hands to rest gently on your clients shoulders and say a mental ‘thank you ‘ to the source of energy. You should always wash your hands in running water after a healing session as this will help to wash away any negative energy that may have attached to you.

Other methods of healing

There are many methods of healing that do not involve using direct touch, however if you feel that you are a natural hands on healer then you may find taking a course in Reiki healing or Energy healing will be of great benefit to you.
